Gender-Based Violence (GBV) refers to harmful acts directed at an individual based on their gender, often resulting in physical, sexual, or psychological harm. It affects both women and men, with women being disproportionately impacted. The 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey shows that 43% of women and 29% of men aged 15 and above have experienced physical violence, while 13% of women and 5% of men have faced sexual violence.
