In alignment with our commitment to integrating cybersecurity into its digital literacy program, we recently hosted our inaugural training session on cyber hygiene. The event, held in collaboration with our partners GIZ Kenya and GFA Consulting Group GmbH focused on empowering Female, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) small business owners. The session provided an overview of cyber hygiene essentials, designed to tackle the distinct challenges encountered by small businesses in today’s digital landscape.
During the event, participants engaged in group discussions to share their experiences with cyber hygiene. The session offered practical tips and real-life case studies were shared to illustrate the importance of these cybersecurity practices. By showcasing tangible examples, participants gained a good understanding of the potential consequences of neglecting cyber hygiene and the benefits of implementing security measures.
At the event, Biashara Africa unveiled its Online Small Business Bootcamp 2024.
The event was also attended by our various other partners, including Equity Bank, Equity Afia, Lipa Later, Pezesha, Shop Zetu, Old Mutual, Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC), The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) and UBA Kenya.
