Why this Matters?

SMALL BUSINESS CHAMPION 12

No matter where you are, you can always find a small business nearby. In Kenya alone, we have an impressive number of over 6 million small businesses, with more than 60% of them being owned by women.

SMALL BUSINESS CHAMPION 11

Small businesses play a crucial role in our economy by creating over 60% of job opportunities and contributing between 24% and 40% to the GDP. These enterprises are instrumental in bolstering the growth of our local economies, allowing them to flourish. Many individuals, have kick-started their careers by gaining valuable work experience at small businesses.

SMALL BUSINESS CHAMPION 10

Despite the significant impact small businesses have, it is disheartening to note that over 70% of them close down within five years. This unfortunate trend is primarily attributed to the challenges they face in accessing markets and securing financing.
